Take Shape for Life

August 2, 2010

Well, for the four of you that read this…I’m back at it, as of today. I successfully managed to gain probably 75% of my weight back. But not all of it!!! 🙂 I will post more soon, just wanted to let you know I’m in pre-ketosis as we speak. I know it, my body isn’t aware yet. It is just patiently waiting for what it thinks is coming today, which is copious amounts of cheese, ice cream, peanut butter, etc etc.

  1. It’s me, your Mom.
Talked to a woman the other day who wants to start medi-fast. Someone told her that it wasn’t real food. Her reply was, “neither is the food that you buy at the grocery store. It least I know it’s healthy”.
I thought that was pretty good.
Are you doing alright with plenty of food? Johnny and I really enjoy our pancakes in the a.m. made with the egg package and the oatmeal package, along with a little Stevia sweetner and a teaspoon of baking powder. (Not sure the baking powder is necessary, but I do it.) Then after frying it in the pan until it’s done, we put the low fat cream cheese and powdered sugar on top. Yumm. Kristi made up a recipe for powdered sugar – 1/2 cup of splenda or stevia plus one tablespoon of cornstarch. Shake it up and you have powdered sugar.
I feel very grateful for the number on the scales that I look at every once in a while. I truly know that God has answered my prayers from years of struggling. I fought medifast and have learned to “never say never”. I feel good on it and know it’s healthy stuff.
I believe we have to keep dealing with why we eat the way we do, and how much God wants us to take care of these temples of ours. I have been in Celebrate Recovery for five years and I know I will need to keep dealing with this part of my life along with a few other hang-ups.
I love you, Jason. More than you will ever know – and I miss just talking with you. Hope to soon.

  2. Keep it up Jay, you’ll get back to where you need to me. Now that being said, maybe you should try the re-entry guide on how to get off Medifast and not gain all the weight back. Just a suggestion 😉
