The C-section weight loss approach

July 30, 2007

Are you tired of dieting?  Have you tried every pill and plan out there only to be discouraged with your results?  Me too.  All that is about to change though.  If you are a women capable of bearing children, I have some exciting news about a new approach that has guaranteed results…and fast!

Here’s what you need to begin.  You must be pregnant.  Sounds too simple?  Seriously, that’s it.  I highly recommend this is done in the boundaries of marriage. (BIBLE)

After step one is completed, tell your doctor you are opting for a C section.  Obviously they have to agree and there needs to be a good reason for the C section.  (note, this plan can also work with a normal delivery, but this approach is based on a recent study in the field of an actual C section performed on my wife, Allison McKenney).

The results are AMAZING!  Expect to lose AT LEAST 10 inches…..and a minimum of 10 pounds…in get this…ONE HOUR!!  No, this is not a misprint, you are reading this correctly.  While many exercise and diet plans boast of dramatic changes fast, few can compare to these shocking changes. (please note there are many challenges to this approach, and it is not for everyone, especially males between the age of 1 and 100)

On a serious note…looks like we have to stay one more day and night at the hospital.  Baby Ava has lost at least 10% of her original weight, so they are taking some precautions and additional measures to get Allison’s milk to come in and to start Ava on a weight gain plan.  Depending on the success of this, I will write a similar exciting post for those looking to gain weight in the future.

A sign

July 29, 2007

We just heard someone singing "Ava Maria", and then saw a bumper sticker that said Hava nice day and then our nurse brought us up some guava juice and said, "I hope you like this flava" Then someone from the American Vetranarian Association dropped of a brochure.  Not only that..I was born in Florida…close to the Avaglades. We think its a sign.

We’re sticking with the name Ava.

O.K….so we’re having some name issues for the child.  At the moment….48 hours after her birth…she has no name.  We’re waiting for a cloud formation from God.  We’ll keep you posted.

sleep?

July 29, 2007

Ava_maybe_1 Last night was a reminder of what we are in for for awhile, and that is  unpredictable nights when it comes to sleep.

Allison is doing well.  She has not thrown up once, which is awesome.  She is quite sore to be sure, but she can already get up and use the restroom without my help which is pretty amazing after major surgery.

Ava is really really small!  I forgot how small Macy was…and now Macy seems huge!  Ava_also_030

Speaking of Macy….I can tell she’s trying to sort all this out..and she really really missed yesterday.  It was so nice to have her stay with us last night in the hospital.  All though she did tell me the baby was too loud…and that we were up too late…so tonight she would like to sleep somewhere else thank you very much!

Ava_also_060_2 Thank you so much to all of you who have stopped by in the last couple days!  It has been awesome seeing you and we feel very loved.  I can’t wait to go home, I’d rather be tired there than here!

Not complaining though…not with Julie heading for open heart surgery tomorrow!

Julie, we are praying for you…and if Ava could pray she would be too!

Ava Jean is here

July 28, 2007

Ava_jean_is_here_046 I’m sitting in my hospital room feeling like the most blessed man on the planet.  Last night at 6:11pm Ava Jean entered our world at 20 inches long and weighing 7 pounds and one ounce.

Ava_jean_is_here_007 Lot’s of different emotions this morning.  I have friends leaving, friends in physical trouble, and also this huge blessing.

Life is such a tension between beauty and pain.   Which pretty much describes my wife right now.  She is beautiful, and she is in pain.

Enjoy these pictures of gorgeous little Ava Jean McKenney.
