The end is near

June 30, 2007

Our daughter is about to move!

There are about 30 days left on her lease, she hasn’t even been there a year.  We hope this does not become a pattern, but we also don’t want to butt in. (even though that is a common position for her to take.)  We also really do think this move is a good idea.

Right now she is living in a pretty basic, bared boned, one wombed apartment.  Its a very small place, poor lighting, and no real furniture to speak of.  Though she does have heat and a unique but functional plumbing system. There are also no windows, and to get to the back yard is too difficult to even make it worth it.  There are some perks.  Free rent, free food, privacy.  But she can hear people through the thin walls, and there are condensation issues.  The food is not exactly pretty to look at, but again the lighting is so poor that is not an issue, plus she has found a pretty unique way to not even have to feed herself.    She often bangs on the ceiling or kicks the floor to let the landlord know she’s got issues, she’s actually has a lot of work to do in communicating things in a healthy way.

She is pretty reclusive and literally never goes out, but we’re hoping that changes soon.  We just want her to see what’s out there ya know, she has so much potential.

  9. One wombed-apartment. Hmmm…now where have I heard that before? ;o)

  10. You made my day. Thanks for the chuckle. I’m suprised you didn’t mention anything about some of the demands she has made…(no chicken, a lot of bed-rest, bran muffins, regular siera mist breaks and I think I heard something about a preference of dove bar soap over dove liquid soap……ONLY 26 days to go.
