Best Boss Ever

April 9, 2007

Not everyone can say that.  But I truly can.  Julie is the best boss I have ever had in my life.  I will list a few reasons…

#1.  She cares, big time, all the time.  She cares deeply about the church, about what goes on, about her friends, about her family, she just cares.

#2.  She is a VERY talented person.  God used her talents in a huge way for Easter.  She is the one who brought the song Orphans of God to the table and who also championed the card flipping idea she had seen done at another congregation.  Week after week it is Julie in my opinion who brings the nugget of "the moment" to the service plan.

#3.  She is super humble.  She is completely content to work behind the scenes…the only reason she sang on Orphans of God is because her fellow friends in service planning insisted on it because her voice is AMAZING.  She gives of herself to the church CONSTANTLY….as a VOLUNTEER LEADER!!  She not only serves on Ron’s management team…as a volunteer…and the service planning team as the leader…as a volunteer…..and leads the Worship Ministry…as a volunteer  (which means she doesn’t receive a cent)…but she then comes on Sunday morning early (really early) even if she is not doing anything that day on the platform…JUST TO PRAY for the service and all that goes on during it…for people to find and connect to Jesus!!!!!

#4.  She serves even in the face of being misunderstood by people who don’t know her.  She constantly has to bear the weight of people’s complaints about everything under the sun, and most people don’t know even a fraction of how her heart cares and bleeds for Sunset.   And yet she responds in grace, and continues to bless the socks off of this church because she loves Jesus and does what she does for Him.

If you ever wonder what those who work close to Julie think of her, make no mistake.  We love her.  We would take a bullet for her because she is an unbelievably Godly leader.  And like I said, the best boss ever.
